Ages
This program is for 5th grade girls. No prior experience is required.
Depending on registration numbers, we may combine grade levels into one league
When
5th grade girls program runs from mid September until Thanksgiving.
Where
Practices and games are held at various District 25 schools
Practices
Teams practice 2 or 3 times a week until the games begin at the end of September. Once games start, they generally play 2 games/week and 1 practice/week.
Games
Teams play a 12-14 game regular season, followed by a single elimination tournament.
Most games are on the weekends.
Weeknight practices and games are scheduled at 6:15 PM or later
Team Formation
Teams are formed by a draft with the coaches. 9 or 10 players/team.
Costs
Registration fee is $200/player.
Additional fee of $15 for non-Arlington Heights players.
$15 late fee for players registered after September 20
Fall 2024
AHYBA runs our 5th grade girls program with a late September start and finish by Thanksgiving. This gives the girls a chance to play our house program with a 12-14 game schedule before the feeder season and parochial school schedules.
